From 2012-2015 I was lucky enough to apprentice and learn the more formal craft of making fine furniture from the owner, James Carlin, and manager, Jeff Thomas, of Kinder Realm, a company that made high end whimsical children’s furniture in Colorado Springs, CO. Everything that I had the opportunity to design and make for Kinder Realm was imbued with a creative energy and playful nature. I’ve tried to keep some of that creativity in my own work as I’ve learned, progressed, and grown into my own in the years since.
